Role Overview:

This role ensures operational data is fit for purpose, defines controls, and monitors adherence to enterprise data management standards. Responsibilities include triaging data incidents, performing analysis, training users, and impact analysis from data updates. The role also involves defining data access and ownership, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage BAU and project work related to the enterprise’s Authorized Data Source, ensuring scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables are met.
  2. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and suitability for analysis through testing and controls to derive business insights.
  3. Develop and implement Enterprise Data Management policies, ensuring compliance and managing operational aspects of data governance.
  4. Handle data incidents, communicate issues, and escalate as needed, including questions on data issues, availability, and sourcing.
  5. Collaborate with Business and Technology teams to develop requirements and resolve data-related incidents strategically.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry with knowledge of database structures, data sourcing, warehousing, finance, and accounting concepts.
  • Proven data analysis experience with the ability to research and develop data solutions.
  • Basic to advanced SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, SharePoint, OneNote).
  • Experience in data/risk assessments and remediation efforts.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with Data Management, warehousing, and large data tools.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, Alteryx, Teradata, DB2, Netezza, Hadoop, SAP eLedger, Rally, Visio, ETL tools, and Data Management tools.
  • Knowledge of Global Technology, Data Management, and Data Architecture standards.
  • Experience in Finance, Regulatory Reporting, or Treasury.
  • Banking Product Knowledge.
