What is the Role

AIB UK is a subsidiary of AIB Group, Ireland’s largest bank, and a leading bank in Europe. The UK business focuses on full‑service retail & business banking in Northern Ireland and corporate banking in GB.


This role sits within the Technology & Data Team under the UK Chief Operating Officer.


As a Data Analyst, you will extract complex financial data, support the delivery of insights that ensure regulatory compliance and strategic decision‑making, and help deliver positive customer outcomes.


Key Accountabilities

  • Utilise advanced data transformation skills to deliver data sets that meet business requirements and identify trends, insights and opportunities.
  • Manage and prioritise regulatory data initiatives.>
  • Use data extraction tools from the AIB Data Warehouse to analyse and report data.
  • Monitor and report on key customer and regulatory metrics, ensuring data integrity and alignment with FCA and PRA regulation.
  • Translate data into actionable insights and communicate findings to senior management and committees.
  • Collaborate with UK Customer Experience teams to validate data sources, cleanse datasets, and apply quality checks.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 3 years proven technical experience in data extraction and reporting within the financial services sector, preferably banking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complex data sets to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, QlikView, and agile tools such as Jira and JQL.
  • Good stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to multitask work well under pressure, and meet tight timescales while ensuring quality and accuracy.
