Job Introduction

As the Senior Data Analyst at Saga, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy and the development of analytics solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to harness the power of data to extract meaningful insights, inform strategic decisions, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation using machine learning and statistical techniques.


We work in a hybrid way at Saga. When you do come into the office, it’ll be with a real purpose in mind – to meet with your team, to work together, and of course to socialise and celebrate too! The team gets together about once or twice a week in either London or Folkestone. You will need to be in a commutable distance.


Role Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Develop and oversee the analysis of large datasets to identifying trends, patterns and actionable insights relevant to business objectives.
  • Reporting and visualisation: Develop and deliver clear and impactful reports and visualisations to communicate key findings to stakeholders. Ensure that reports and dashboards are insightful and align with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders and technical colleagues to understand analytical requirements and integrate insights into existing workflows & applications. Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical counterparts.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Ensure the quality and integrity of data used for analysis, implementing and maintaining data governance best practices. Collaborate with IT and data teams to resolve data quality issues.
  • Agile ways of working: Demonstrate experience in working in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Continuous improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in data analytics. Bring the most relevant ones back to Saga and find ways to implement them to unlock business value.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in an analytical role, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Can analyse complex data challenges, identify solutions and implement effective strategies.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualisation tools.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as SQL, Python and Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Have worked in an agile development environment, with a focus on iterative and collaborative project delivery.
  • A curious nature, with the drive to learn and master new tech and methods.
  • Ideally have gained a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or Business Analytics.
