The Company

A fast-growing technology business transforming how commercial risk is matched in the insurance space. Fresh from a successful funding round and on track for rapid growth this year, they are now hiring aSenior Data Analystprofessional to shape and drive their analytics function.


The Role

As the Senior Data Analyst, you will be the go-to person for data insight delivery across both client-facing and internal operational reporting. You’ll work closely with the product and data teams to improve the platform's performance, enhance reporting processes, and guide the future of customer insight delivery, with plans to build a live portal within the next 12–18 months.

You’ll also play a key leadership role, mentoring and growing a small team of analysts, while remaining hands-on in SQL, Python, and dbt.


Your day to day:

  • Own and deliver customer-facing reports that provide insight into insurance risk and matching decisions
  • Act as the principal point of contact for any client queries on data, portfolio insights, or platform performance
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reports to support internal teams
  • Collaborate with the Product team to enhance the platform’s data services, including planning for a live, self-serve portal (Metabase)
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior and mid-level analysts, helping to scale the team as the business grows
  • Drive continuous improvements in data quality, reporting processes, and analytical output


What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with commercial awareness and leadership potential. You’ll be confident delivering accurate, meaningful insights while also guiding a small team and working closely with Product to shape the future of data delivery.

  • Previous experience in data analytics, with strong SQL, Python, and dbt skills
  • Experience delivering client-facing reports and internal performance insights
  • A background in a B2B business
  • Comfortable with data visualisation tools (ideally Tableau)
  • A natural problem-solver with a proactive, collaborative approach
  • Strong communicator, able to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience is a plus
