About The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Senior Data Operations Analyst to join our analytics team. In this role, you'll focus on analyzing operational data across multiple business functions to transform complex business questions into actionable insights, with a strong emphasis on operational dashboard development and reporting.

Skills

Cross-functional Operational Analytics: Strong analytical skills with experience extracting insights from operational data across finance, marketing, sales, customer success, and product functions
Advanced Dashboard Development: Extensive experience creating compelling visualisations and interactive dashboards that effectively communicate operational metrics and KPIs
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, data analysis in Python, and advanced experience with BI tools like Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
Business Operations Knowledge: Deep understanding of operational metrics including customer service metrics, retention analytics, financial KPIs, marketing performance, and product usage patterns
Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of statistical methods for analysing operational efficiency, customer behaviour, cohort analysis, and predictive modelling for business metrics
GCP Familiarity: Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform analytics tools, particularly BigQuery for large-scale data analysis
Problem Solving & Communication: Proven ability to translate complex operational questions into analytical frameworks and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

Cross-functional Operational Analytics: Take on projects ranging across all areas of operations including merchant success, retention, product usage, finance, marketing, sales, onboarding, business operations, platform health, and growth to drive strategic decisions and operational improvements
Dashboard Development & Reporting: Design and implement data visualisations and automated reporting systems that provide actionable insights across all business functions with scheduled alerts and streamlined workflows
Data Quality & Documentation: Ensure data integrity through validation checks and maintain comprehensive documentation of metrics, sources, and methodologies

What We're Looking For

4+ years of professional experience in business operations analytics or a similar quantitative analysis role
Demonstrated expertise in operational dashboard development and automated reporting systems
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large operational datasets
Advanced proficiency with at least one data visualization tool (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Experience with Python or R for operational data analysis
Deep familiarity with common business operations metrics
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics) or equivalent experience
