Role of the Senior Data Analyst
The Senior Data Analyst will coordinate and oversee the creation and delivery of bespoke data assets sourced from submission documents and various unstructured data channels. This role will work directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements to a data schema.
You will lead a newly established team that plays a crucial role in enabling Inigo’s data-driven decision-making by acquiring, structuring, and verifying unstructured data sources to create robust, proprietary data assets. The ability to leverage unstructured documents and datasets to advance risk pricing and client insights will play a significant role in Inigo outperforming its peers.
By leveraging cutting-edge data technology and AI, the team’s mission is to systematically deliver high-quality data sets to power Inigo’s insights and analytics.
The successful candidate will do this by:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the Data Acquisition Team to ensure service excellence.
- Overseeing analysts within the Inigo team, as well as outsourced team members, involved in the delivery of this capability.
- Developing strategies for efficient data extraction, ingestion, and transformation.
- Translating business requirements into clear deliverables, and ensuring clear communication of these to the team.
- Implementing data quality measures to maintain accuracy and completeness throughout the data lifecycle.
- Collaborating with technical teams to optimise the data ingestion pipeline and ETL processes.
- Providing guidance and performance feedback to team members, and fostering a supportive environment.
- Cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, regularly refining data acquisition strategies.
To do this, we’re going to need you to bring:
- Technical business analysis skills: Translating insurance analytics requirements into a data schema.
- Project management skills: experience of managing a project from initiation to closure
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, creating clear objectives and encouraging cohesive teamwork.
- Problem solving skills: Exceptional analytical and innovative problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical solutions.
- Data analysis: hands on experience of working with data to produce analysis or reports and finding data quality issues.
- Tech savvy-ness: Familiarity with data tools, AI, and machine learning to optimise Inigo’s approaches to data acquisition.
- Communication skills: Excellent at managing stakeholder relationships and translating complex data concepts into actionable insights.
