What will you do?


We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst with a strong marketing analytics background who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment. This role requires a highly analytical, detail-oriented individual and capable of turning complex data into actionable business insights.


This is a strategic position responsible for ensuring that the marketing team delivers measurable business outcomes. This role focuses on designing and implementing frameworks to evaluate and optimise marketing strategies, driving efficiencies, and maximising return on investment (ROI). The ideal candidate combines analytical expertise with a deep understanding of marketing channels and business strategy to shape a data-driven culture within the marketing team.


As a key analytical partner, you will be responsible for deep-dive analysis, A/B testing, and performance measurement, ensuring that the company makes data-driven decisions at every level.


Location: Remote, must be UK-based


Salary: £65,000 - £85,000

Responsibilities

  • Analyse marketing performance, leveraging predictive modelling and statistical analyses to forecast strategy impact and identifying insights that reduce costs, improve conversion rates, and optimise spend.
  • Develop advanced analytical frameworks to measure CAC, LTV, ROAS, churn, and other key marketing metrics; place incrementality measurement at the heart of marketing effectiveness
  • Evaluate and optimise the effectiveness of marketing and CRM campaigns, aligning performance measurement with business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Build interactive dashboards and reporting tools to enable stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
  • Design and execute A/B tests and experiments, ensuring statistical rigour in performance analysis.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to optimise business strategies through data.
  • Lead post-campaign analysis, pre-campaign planning, and audience profiling to maximise marketing effectiveness.
  • Work on multi-touch attribution (MTA) and marketing mix modelling (MMM) to analyse and optimise marketing spend.
  • Act as the point of contact for reporting requests.


Essential Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, ideally in start-ups or small companies – we are not looking for candidates with purely large corporate backgrounds.
  • Proven track record of making measurable business impacts, such as reducing costs, improving conversion rates, or optimising marketing spend.
  • Strong marketing and growth analytics expertise, deep knowledge of CAC, LTV, ROAS, churn, and similar metrics.
  • Advanced SQL skills, with experience in data transformation and query optimisation.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Looker strongly preferred, but not essential).
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, with proficiency in complex data manipulation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of analytics best practices, experimental design, and statistical significance in A/B testing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.


Nice to Haves

  • Experience in the gaming industry.
  • Experience working with dbt for data modelling and transformation.
  • Basic knowledge of Python and Git.
  • Experience with causal attribution methods, including Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM).
