Join the Close Brothers Data Analytics team where you will lead on identifying, validating and querying disparate datasets generated from a diverse range of business systems and operational processes.

Working as part of the Data Analytics team, our ideal team member will have previous experience working in a business intelligence / analytics environment with excellent attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity
  • Derives data management structures and metadata to support consistency of information retrieval, combination, analysis, pattern recognition and interpretation, throughout the organisation
  • Plans effective data storage, sharing and publishing within the organisation. Independently validates external information from multiple sources
  • Investigates enterprise data requirements where there is some complexity and ambiguity
  • Provides advice and guidance to others using the data structures and associated components
  • Specifies the acceptance testing environment for systems, products, business processes and services. Manages the creation of acceptance test cases and scenarios. Ensures that defined tests reflect realistic operational conditions and required level of coverage
  • Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

  • You have previous experience working in a business intelligence / analytics environment
  • Have an awareness of industry / regulatory best practices for handling data and information
  • You have experience with reporting and data visualisation tools such as Business Objects and Tableau
  • You have a good understanding of how to query data from relational databases using SQL
  • You build long lasting relationships with both internal and external customers
  • You approach problems systematically and objectively, analyses facts and evaluates options, draws sound conclusions

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:

  • Have a strong background / experience in rectifications and customer harm treatment in remediation situations is highly desired. This position involves working with a virtual team, collaborating with cross-functional departments and third parties, managing business priorities, responding to regulatory outputs and ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of remediation strategies in which data is an integral theme and enabler
  • Are competent in the use of advanced analytics tools / languages e.g. SAS, Python, Alteryx
