Connect to your opportunity As a simulation engineer you will work as part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team developing and maintaining predictive simulations, including Digital Twin and data science models, to solve client problems. To be effective in this role you will need a solid foundation of programming experience in a data-centric environment as well as some relevant experience of simulation engineering or data science. Connect to your skills and professional experience We are looking for a strong academic background such as a degree in a STEM subject ideally with demonstratable experience in simulation or a relevant data science/AI specific subject. You will also have a solid programming experience in Python, MATLAB or similar languages leveraging analytics and simulation to answer questions and solve problems. We would love to hear from you if you have a passion and experience in these key areas: Key experience: Desire to solve the most difficult business and industry challenges using simulation, upskilling where needed and learn about the business impact of the work you do. Leading a development team creating simulation models and data outputs appropriate for reporting and dashboarding Confidence designing new models and features at pace to enable the simulation to reflect the real-world operational environments Be part of a high performing and supportive team Coding: Strong programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C++ or C# Data centric packages such as Pandas, Numpy, SimPy, Scikit-learn Confidence developing and maintaining Python simulation model code, including error handling/debugging and feature development. Able to produce and maintain production ready code Version control, for example using Git Demonstratable experience of modelling and simulation methods (discrete event simulations and agent-based modelling, engineering simulation) Experience creating models in commercial engineering and simulation packages such as Rockwell Automation, OPTANO, Siemens etc. Implementing and/ or architecting solutions on a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) Visualisation (e.g. Tableau, Plotly Dash, PowerBi) Other: Experience of working in Consulting environment or similar leading the use if simulation, digital twin and other predictive models to solve real world problems Ability to manage the time of yourself and your team Lead and collaborate as part of a team Mentor and guiding less experienced members of a team Communicating technical information to non-technical audiences Desire to work in a fast-paced environment Logical thinking and problem solving Connect to your business - Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory In an ever-evolving world, there are no certainties in business.
