About the Role

We are on the lookout for a skilled engineer to enhance and scale our systems to meet growing user demands. Our technology stack spans multiple areas, including front-end, backend, edge computing, and machine learning. In this role, you will take ownership of a significant portion of our backend infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop APIs, databases, and data pipelines.
• Ensure scalability, system observability, and cost optimization.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of features while maintaining high service-level agreements (SLAs) and resolving issues effectively.
• Collaborate with teams specializing in front-end, edge computing, and machine learning.
• This is a full-time, in-office position (Monday to Friday).

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of professional experience building scalable systems.
• Proficiency in backend technologies, including FastAPI, Python 3, Docker, Postgres, and Redis.
• Expertise in designing, deploying, debugging, and optimizing APIs, databases, and pipelines to handle high traffic volumes and multi-terabyte datasets.
• Bonus skills include:
• Experience with front-end technologies such as React and React Native.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Pulumi on AWS).
• Monitoring tools knowledge (e.g., Sentry, Grafana).
• Authentication systems experience (e.g., Auth0).
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed.

What We Offer:

• Competitive salary: £100,000 - £130,000 base (can go above for rockstars).
