This position will be located in Newport, South Wales, U.K.

You will work together with a talented staff of engineering professionals to develop and enable innovative wide bandgap semiconductor technology to realize the next generations of Vishays proprietary power device product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and simulation of the advanced SiC Power MOSFETs.
  2. Design the layout and develop DOE of the devices.
  3. Design and develop the related PCM/TEG structures for the devices.
  4. Working with process integration team for developing fabrication process of the devices.

Knowledge and Experience Youll Need:

  1. A Ph.D in SiC power device/material physics.
  2. Rich experience in 2D and 3D TCAD simulation (Sentaurus and Silvaco) for power semiconductor devices, especially WBG semiconductor, are required. Knowledge of software tools for characteristic analysis of process, i.e. MATLAB, MathCAD.
  3. Experience in development project throughout the device architecture and its fabrication process by numerical simulations and characterizations, with the ability to apply project management best practice methodology.
  4. Knowledge in semiconductor material for application in power semiconductor devices is desirable.

You will have a comprehensive, demonstrable background in power semiconductor materials / semiconductor device physics, and / fabrication process. You will approach tasks in a logic-based way, along with having the ability and motivation to develop novel and creative ideas. Your communication skills will enable seamless collaboration both with our manufacturing partners and internally, and you will know how to build and maintain lasting relationships in international and cross-functional project teams.
