Job Description

Background:

Due to growing demand for our services we are seeking to recruit experienced Security Cleared Data Analysts to join our team from Consultant through to Principal Consultant grade. The role involves supporting a wide range of client projects of all sizes and dimensions and we are seeking an individual with a demonstrable track record of delivering professional services in a security cleared environment.

The Opportunity:

The responsibilities of the SC DA Lead will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical hands on expertise building data assets
  • Developing multi-faceted reports with recommendations to senior management
  • Development, analysis and maintenance of corporate datasets
  • Define and embed best practice in the Data Analytics team
  • Provide guidance and advice on data quality issues to a wide variety of data providers
  • Develop / use, the mechanisms employed by clients to recharge manpower against projects
  • Responsible for data visibility, accuracy and transparency of the project critical path
  • Preparing presentation and other materials for client pitches.
  • Working on client site(s) for a number of days per week, with hybrid/office  working patterns for the remainder.

Required Skills

  • Must have active Security Clearance or, be eligible to receive Security Clearance if needed.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working as a Data Analyst
  • Strong analytic and numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and understand their requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrable track record in Data Analysis; identifying requirements and documenting these using the appropriate types of tools and documentation
  • Knowledge of modern data architecture patterns sursh as Data Lakes
  • Excellent hands on experience working in the Microsoft Stack, PowerBi and Power Platform
  • Experience in data modeling for reporting
  • End to end experience from project launch to ongoing operation of data, analytics and reporting projects
  • Excellent capability in the use of Excel with ability to write macros to create automated dashboards, graphs and tables
  • Hands on experience of DAX and SQL
  • Ability to create comprehensive documentation for data processes, reports, and dashboards


Qualifications

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an Infrastructure or Defence environment
  • PRINCE2 / Agile Certification or experience gained
  • Degree educated or equivalent in an analytic subject
  • Understanding of Business Improvement Techniques
  • Exposure to Azure services
  • Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, preferably using Azure Data Factory
  • Knowledge of best practices in data governance, data security, and data quality management.
  • Experience in providing training and support to clients on using Microsoft Low/No Code tools.
  • Experience using Palantir Foundry
