The Role - you are supporting with general cover as a Graduate Cover Supervisor; You are responsible for carrying out pre-prepared and pre-planned exercises. This is a very easy introduction to class teaching.Cover Supervisor - This involves supervising pupils and ensuring they are engaged in the classwork. You will help pupils to become more independent in their learning and encouraging pupils to interact.The Opportunity- It is an excellent opportunity for anyone who does not hold a teaching qualification but would welcome the opportunity to work in a classroom.The is no planning involved, minimum preparation and there is always an allocated cover manager on site to help assist with any queries. What are the requirements of a Cover Supervisor?Supervise pupils out of lesson times, including break-times, before and after school (including corrections), and during school tripsPrepare the learning environment before lessons including the distribution of learning materials etc, undertaking administrative support.Ensure that the classroom is left in good order at the end of a lesson.Manage the behaviour of pupils during the lesson according to the school’s behaviour management policy, and to ensure a constructive learning environment.Report back as appropriate on the behaviour of pupils during the lesson and any other issues that may arise.
