SAP Data Analyst - INSIDE IR35
Duration: 6 months (initial)
Location: Capenhurst or Stoke Poges (Hybrid 1 day a week on site)

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst with expertise in SAP to join a recently established Data & Analytics team. You will extract valuable insights from the organisation wide data assets. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets to support data-driven decision-making across the functions / departments within the business. Expertise in SAP (ECC, S4/HANA and ABAP), SAP Analytics (S4/HANA), data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualisation will be pivotal in driving strategic initiatives and optimising business performance.

Key Accountabilities:

Data collection and cleaning

Gather data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and integrity
Clean, validate, and transform raw data into a consistent format for analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and identify how SAP data and analytics can enhance business processes

Data analysis and interpretation

Collaborate with SAP system analysts and D&A Data Engineer to integrate SAP solutions seamlessly into existing business processes
Apply statistical methods and data modeling techniques to extract actionable insights
Interpret and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Reporting and visualisation

Interpret SAP reports to provide information as to the data construct within SAP
Generate relevant reports in SAP specific to different functional department requirements
Understanding of database / data warehouse usage and data security
Develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations in line with D&A toolset
Provide data-driven recommendations to improve decision-making processes

Data quality assurance

Develop and implement data quality checks and validation processes
Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the organisation’s systems
Support D&A function with maturity of companywide data

Process improvement

Identify opportunities to optimise data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
Propose and implement automated solutions to streamline workflows and increase efficiency

Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrable experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in a business or technical environment
• Demonstrable experience in SAP, including SAP Data Analysis and Reporting
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and interpret complex data sets
• Strong understanding of SAP (ECC, S4/HANA and Fiori), including reporting and analytics
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Python, R, or other relevant tools
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud or similar platforms
• Knowledge of statistical concepts and experience applying statistical techniques (e.g., regression analysis, hypothesis testing).
• Solid understanding of database management systems, Microsoft SQL Server and data warehousing principles
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate results within deadlines
• Strong communication skills to convey complex findings in a clear and understandable manner
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
