About Soar With Us

Founded by Olly Hudson and Joe Marston in 2019, Soar With Us is one of the fastest-growing advertising agencies for e-commerce brands in the UK. In 2024, we spent over £250m on Meta, Google, and TikTok ads profitably for our clients, including The Essence Vault, Art of Football, Bee Inspired, and many others.

We are now building a best-in-class internal data team to take our reporting and analytics to the next level. As a Junior Data Engineer, you'll work hands-on to support the collection, cleaning, and structuring of advertising performance data — helping the entire team make faster and smarter decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

      • Assist in setting up and maintaining data pipelines from ad platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok).
      • Clean, validate, and prepare data for reporting and analysis.
      • Help maintain and update the company’s internal data warehouse.
      • Support the automation of client and performance reports.
      • Ensure data quality and consistency across systems.
      • Work closely with the Lead Data Engineer and Growth Team to understand needs and deliver solutions.

Requirements

      • 0–2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
Solid understanding of SQL and basic database management (PostgreSQL or similar).
      • Exposure to Python or TypeScript is a plus.
      • Strong attention to detail and a passion for clean, organised data.
      • Bonus: Experience using Supabase, Firebase, or working with ad data.
      • Bonus: Interest or basic experience with AI tools and automation platforms.

Who You Are:

    • You’re curious, detail-oriented, and love solving data problems.
    • You’re excited to learn from senior engineers and grow your skills quickly.
    • You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
    • You’re passionate about data and want to help businesses make better decisions.

Why This Role?:

    • Start your career in a high-impact, fast-growing team.
    • Gain exposure to modern data tools and real-world advertising data.
    • Work closely with senior engineers and business leaders.
    • Opportunity to grow into a Mid-Level Engineer as you develop your skills.

Benefits

  • Our incredible client base. We work with a wide range of companies, spanning multiple niches and continents. You will be working in collaboration with some of the fastest-growing and most established DTC e-commerce companies in the world.
  • Building your skills. Our diverse service offering and client base ensure that no two days are the same - with opportunities to broaden your skillset at every turn. We’re committed to ensuring that all of our team are constantly developing and evolving toward their own personal goals and you would be no exception!
  • Ongoing mentoring. You will get many hours of 1-on-1 coaching/mentorship with our senior management team, and learn to expertly advertise DTC brands which is an incredibly sought-after skill.
  • Start-up sensibilities. You have the rare opportunity to work with a 3-year-old agency and have a huge impact on how we do things.
  • Flexible, hybrid working. We’re a modern agency, with trust and respect for everyone who works here. As such, we offer the option to work from our vibrant Leeds office, from home, or a combination of both.
  • Private health insurance, life insurance, and cash plan enrollment.
  • Numerous internal social activities are arranged by our social sec at the end of each month. We also host larger social events at the end of each quarter!

Success in 6 months:

    • You’ve set up and maintained basic data pipelines.
    • You’re delivering clean datasets that are used for weekly reporting.
    • You’re contributing to data cleaning, validation, and documentation.

Success in 12 months:

    • You can independently troubleshoot and optimise pipelines.
    • You’re supporting new data initiatives and assisting with more complex reporting.
    • You’re beginning to suggest ways to automate tasks or improve processes.

Machine‑Learning Jobs for Non‑Technical Professionals: Where Do You Fit In?

The Model Needs More Than Math When ChatGPT went viral and London start‑ups raised seed rounds around “foundation models,” many professionals asked, “Do I need to learn PyTorch to work in machine learning?” The answer is no. According to the Turing Institute’s UK ML Industry Survey 2024, 39 % of advertised ML roles focus on strategy, compliance, product or operations rather than writing code. As models move from proof‑of‑concept to production, demand surges for specialists who translate algorithms into business value, manage risk and drive adoption. This guide reveals the fastest‑growing non‑coding ML roles, the transferable skills you may already have, real transition stories and a 90‑day action plan—no gradient descent necessary.
