Are you up for joining the UK’s fastest growing, game-changing, home working travel company?
Is travel your passion and do you know the travel industry inside out and back to front? What’s more, are you dynamic, bursting with entrepreneurial drive and want to share that passion with our travel consultants, empowering, motivating and inspiring them to grow their travel agencies to levels they never thought imaginable?
If the answer’s yes to all these questions, then we want to meet you.
Not Just Travel is looking for an energetic, charismatic Business Development Manager (Coach) who wants to make a tangible difference in the lives of our consultants to not only smash their business and financial goals but to achieve their lifestyle aspirations too.
If this is you then get in touch/read on.
So, what’s it all about?
Our BDMs are a fundamental part of our business. You’ll be wearing many crucial hats – all at the same time! You’ll be a:
Master Mentor
You’re a natural, born leader who gets the best out of people. You’ll be looking after a team of 60-80 travel consultants (TCs). You’re not their boss, but you’ll be there to guide them, teach them and support them every step of the way as they grow their travel agency businesses from home. No TC is the same. You’ll get to know each and every one to understand how they tick. They all need nurturing in their own way and you’ve got the social skills, the patience, the empathy and the sense of humour to do it.
You’re driven by success and more importantly driven by helping others succeed.
Clever Coach
What you don’t know about the travel industry isn’t worth knowing and you’ll be passing this on to your team of TCs. One day you might help them identify the right supplier, the next you’ll be talking them through how to use the technology. But you’ll also be helping them personally, coaching them to build the confidence to get out there and find customers and ask for business.
Business Advisor
You’ll recognise a business opportunity from a mile off and you’ll teach your TCs how to do exactly the same. Are they tapping into all the opportunities to find new customers? You’ll encourage them to spot gaps in the market and advise them on how to go out there and plug them. Together you’ll set clear, step-by-step proven NJT strategies to not just fulfil their goals but to surpass them and along the way you’ll hook up to assess and reappraise how it’s all going.
Savvy Sales Person
Closing a deal is a skill that you excel in and you’ll be teaching your TCs the art.
But it’s not just about clinching the sale, you’ll ensure your TC’s keep a close eye on their bottom line. It’s all about maximising customer engagement, driving up average booking value, referrals and repeat business.
Creative Communicator
You’re a smooth talker. You’re an excellent communicator who can explain the most complicated issues in the simplest of terms. You’ll be full of praise for the wins and full of motivation for those facing hurdles. You’re an influential and dynamic motivator with a can-do attitude who energises people to want to do better. You pick them up when they fall and give them the confidence to go again. You’ll help them realise capabilities they never realised they had.
Magical Marketeer
You’ll collaborate with our marketing team to ensure your TCs have all the tools of the trade to shout about their business. You’ll work with the marketing team on maximising campaign plans for your TC’s so they have all of the support, training and assets they need. Your TCs will be embracing social media with their Instagram Lives and their creative TikToks.
Customer Service Guru
The customer is always king and you want to make sure your TCs provide their clients with an exceptional Not Just Travel experience. We’ve got standards – and they’re high. You want all your TCs to be aware of the guidelines and match up.
Data Analyst
You’ll be a whizz with numbers. You’ll be tracking the progress and performance of all your TCs identifying areas for improvement and giving them feedback. You’ll also keep an eye on the trends to see what’s in, what’s out, what’s hot and what’s not.
Benefits:
Flexibility: You set your own timetable. You’ll be based from home, making occasional visits to NJT towers in Bournemouth, joining us on one of our legendary overseas training retreats or hooking up with one of your TCs. You’ll be left alone to manage your own diary, but bear in mind TCs may want your support during evenings and weekends.
Compensation: The package is really competitive when you consider all the perks we throw in. You’ll enjoy discounted travel, benefit from private medical insurance, life insurance, a personal learning and development budget, perkbox discounts and opportunities for professional development.

How Many Machine Learning Tools Do You Need to Know to Get a Machine Learning Job?

Machine learning is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas of tech. But for job seekers it can also feel like a maze of tools, frameworks and platforms. One job advert wants TensorFlow and Keras. Another mentions PyTorch, scikit-learn and Spark. A third lists Mlflow, Docker, Kubernetes and more. With so many names out there, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you must learn everything just to be competitive. Here’s the honest truth most machine learning hiring managers won’t say out loud: 👉 They don’t hire you because you know every tool. They hire you because you can solve real problems with the tools you know. Tools are important — no doubt — but context, judgement and outcomes matter far more. So how many machine learning tools do you actually need to know to get a job? For most job seekers, the real number is far smaller than you think — and more logically grouped. This guide breaks down exactly what employers expect, which tools are core, which are role-specific, and how to structure your learning for real career results.

What Hiring Managers Look for First in Machine Learning Job Applications (UK Guide)

Whether you’re applying for machine learning engineer, applied scientist, research scientist, ML Ops or data scientist roles, hiring managers scan applications quickly — often making decisions before they’ve read beyond the top third of your CV. In the competitive UK market, it’s not enough to list skills. You must send clear signals of relevance, delivery, impact, reasoning and readiness for production — and do it within the first few lines of your CV or portfolio. This guide walks you through exactly what hiring managers look for first in machine learning applications, how they evaluate CVs and portfolios, and what you can do to improve your chances of getting shortlisted at every stage — from your CV and LinkedIn profile to your cover letter and project portfolio.
