The Operations and Middle Office department is one of the largest groups at Millennium. The Data Operations team resides within the Control function of Ops & MO and is responsible for overseeing the firm’s Global Security Master through various data quality measures. The team is also responsible for managing processes to onboard new securities and attributes.


We are seeking a driven and thorough Reference Data Operations Analyst to join our team. Ideally, you will be a self‑starter with close attention to detail and a strong background in the financial services industry – specifically in Security Master and Reference Data. If you are motivated by taking the initiative to improve processes, operating efficient BAU activities, and real‑time problem solving, we would love to hear from you!


Principal Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accurate creation and maintenance of all tradable securities in Millennium’s Global Security Master
  • Oversee the completion of Data Quality control checks via system and business validations
  • Monitor Corporate Actions and Market Data events to proactively ensure processing and avoid disruptions to downstream interfaces
  • Liaise and resolve ad hoc issues raised from internal front, middle and back office clients as well as external data vendors
  • Work with Development on requirements, assist in design and implementation of new processes, workflows to improve Security Master for firm stakeholders

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • 5-7+ years of experience in financial services, ideally in operations at a broker‑dealer or asset management firm with some experience in Security Master/Reference Data
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments including equities, fixed income and derivatives
  • Experience working with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit (S & P Global), ICE and other Data Vendors
  • Ability to implement and maintain new systems, procedures, and controls
  • Solid understanding of basic SQL queries, proficient MS Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting senior stakeholders
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work well with a team environment
  • Self‑directed, diligent problem solver with a desire to contribute to Millennium’s reputation and success
