The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Manager (Data & AI) with a strong technical background to lead and manage our Data Science, AI, and Analytics initiatives. This role is crucial to driving the development of cutting-edge AI-powered products, as well as overseeing our embedded analytics suite, which provides a comprehensive range of data dashboards and insights within our SaaS product. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in developing data and AI-powered products, coupled with a deep understanding of machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), AI concepts, data analytics, and AI research practices. This individual will be responsible for understanding Plentific’s entire suite of products, driving the development of an AI copilot, and leading automation initiatives that align with our product motto of “managing by exception.”

Responsibilities

  • AI, Data and Analytics Product Strategy:
    • Formulate and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI, data science, and analytics initiatives.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities to integrate AI and machine learning to enhance existing products and create new, innovative features.
    • Oversee the embedded analytics suite within our SaaS product, ensuring it delivers valuable insights and actionable data to our users.
    • Collaborate with the CPTO, other product managers and the strategy team  to ensure alignment between AI and analytics initiatives and the overall product strategy.
  • Lead Product Development:
    • Manage the end-to-end product development process for AI, data science, and analytics products, from ideation to launch.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and designers, applying AI research to deliver AI-powered solutions that achieve business objectives.
    • Drive the development of an AI copilot and other automation tools that will transform Plentific into an end-to-end automation platform.
  • Manage Plentific’s Analytics Product Suite:
    • Oversee and continuously improve our embedded analytics suite (powered by Looker), ensuring it provides comprehensive and actionable data dashboards for users.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align the analytics capabilities with customer needs and market trends.
    • Define and monitor key product metrics and KPIs for the analytics suite to measure its success and user adoption.
  • Drive Business Value:
    • Partner with commercial and sales teams to align AI and analytics initiatives with market demands and customer requirements.
    • Translate technical capabilities into compelling business value propositions that drive product adoption.
    • Analyse market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
    • Ensure ethical AI considerations, including fairness, transparency, and accountability, are integrated into product development.
  • Facilitate Stakeholder Alignment:
    • Communicate product vision, progress, and outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation to ensure alignment and support for AI and analytics initiatives.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for AI and analytics-related product initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements

Skills

  • Deep technical knowledge of AI, data science, and analytics tools, platforms, and frameworks.
  • Applied AI research skills, with the ability to experiment and innovate to bring cutting-edge solutions into the product suite.
  • Knowledge and a deep understanding of multimodal AI techniques, combining data types such as text, images, audio, and video.
  • Demonstrable expertise in prompt engineering.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter personality with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Manager, with hands-on experience in developing AI, data science, and analytics products.
  • Strong understanding of data science, machine learning, NLP, AI models, optimisation algorithms, and data analytics.
  • Experience working with AI-powered and analytics products in a SaaS environment is highly desirable (eg: visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau or PowerBI).
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing multimodal AI solutions in software products.
