money.co.uk exists to help consumers make more informed financial decisions. Our free, online comparison service allows consumers to compare financial products, from credit cards to savings accounts, loans to travel money. We are also known as the Financial Services team for Uswitch, Confused and money.co.uk, and our goal is to be the UK’s favourite way to choose the best financial products for big life events - from Credit Cards to use on while travelling to Savings Accounts to help move you closer to a dream purchase. About the role:

As a mid level Analyst at RVU, your input will be crucial in driving business impact and decision-making by bridging the gap between data and business strategy. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective data strategy within your business area. As our 4th  member of the FS Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting ultimate experiences for money.co.uk, Uswitch and Confused.com users, enabling them to make better financial decisions

What you’ll be working on:
Using tools and databases including BigQuery, Tableau, DBT,  Python and Hightouch, you'll tackle important problems that we’re only just starting to understand. You will be:
  • Working closely with the Product teams delivering insights that are not only accessible but actionable, supporting strategic decision-making
  • Collaborating with cross functional project teams to understand business requirements and translate them into lower level data requirements
  • Working with the engineering team to build and refine dbt models to transform the data in a desired form suitable for analysis and reporting; as well as to strengthen data management and quality processes across data collection, cleaning, transformation and reporting
  • Supporting the development of data related procedures and guidelines to be at the forefront of best practice
  • Liaise with external partners to facilitate and execute third party data integrations
  • Creating interactive dashboards and reports to present analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to senior management
  • Translate complex data analyses into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring insights lead to informed decisions

Some of the questions/projects that you may be working on: 
  • Automate reporting, build scalable dashboards, and empower stakeholders with self-serve analytics tools
  • Design and implement data pipelines and dashboards to enable A/B testing at scale
  • What events are critical to track to understand performance of our landing pages?
  • How can we enable our marketing channels to effectively target the right audience?


What we’re looking for:

  • We are a small and fast moving team and you will need experience working to dynamic priorities, working with cross functional stakeholders to understand and define problems, scope out end-to-end solutions and manage delivery to completion
  • Excellent SQL skills; particularly in reference to Google BigQuery with experience in using analytical and data tooling such as Google Sheets, Python, Tableau, Git, dbt etc.
  • Experience working with raw data, setting up data tracking from scratch for new and existing products
  • Experience working with customer engagement data and marketing funnel data is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail, focus on delivering work to a high standard, and ability to work efficiently to project deadlines
  • Pragmatism; understanding of when analysis is good enough to finish
  • Statistically literate, competent with some statistical testing or modelling techniques

  • Migrated events tracking from Google Analytics to in-house events tracking system
  • Setup tracking to report key metrics for a new user journey launched, aimed at understanding our customer profiles better
  • Integrated partner funnel data to get a full funnel conversion view of our customer base
  • Launched a more sophisticated channel attribution model enabling the marketing teams to have a better understanding of quality of traffic they drive
