Your Role
As our Procurement Assistant you will assist the Procurement team with cost modelling, market index analysis and reporting and cost comparison along with general assistant responsibilities such as maintaining our contract database. Skilled in Excel and comfortable with different analysis and reporting platforms such as Power BI, you will support the Head of Procurement in modernising and managing the contract database and spend analysis as well as the tracking and visualisation of KPI performance.
Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement with a dotted line into the rest of the team, you will maintain the quality of the groups data whilst support with producing internal presentations and supporting ad-hoc reporting and analysis activities during cost reviews and tenders.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for acquiring and reviewing data used in contract database spend reports. Review, analyse and report on costs relating to our GNFR spend Facilitate and support the team in their validation, collation and visualisation of procurement metrics such as monthly savings, payment terms Assist with preparation of data for use at monthly business meetings Manage the gathering and publishing of key market insights and benchmarks such as commodity and freight prices. Support the Head of Procurement with adhoc administration, data and presentation producing activities Support the travel needs of the business with ad-hoc day to day travel queries/organisation Future responsibilities (if wished but not mandatory) in transactional buying and procurement activities as career development.
Your Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Skilled and comfortable in Excel including advanced formulas, lookups, graphs, model building Intermediate-Advanced alternative MS Office skills (Word/PowerPoint) Comfortable in helping to drive change and improvement Experienced in an admin/data analyst role Desired power BI experience or similar data and reporting software Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Creative in solving problems and passionate about continuing to innovate Can work well under pressure and analyse large data sets Strong numerical and analytical skill set Close attention to detail Ability to manage time to meet deadlines and time frames
