As a Principal Technologist, you will lead technology strategy and implementation for AI and related fields within the UK Public Sector, shaping a 10-year vision and driving transformational change. You will manage and mentor a team, set technology standards, and engage with vendors and stakeholders at all levels. The role requires your deep expertise in AI/ML, strong leadership skills, and experience in cross-functional collaboration. Effective communication, documentation, and a commitment to continuous learning and upskilling will be crucial. Government experience and familiarity with industry standards will be highly beneficial.

1. Technical Expertise and Industry Standards* Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: In-depth knowledge of AI and ML technologies, including experience in designing and implementing AI/ML systems.* Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile practices and how they apply to technology development and project management.* Service and Industry Standards: Knowledge of relevant industry standards related to AI/ML and Agile practices.
