About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilledPrincipal Power Electronics Engineerto lead the design and development of next-generationDC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/ACpower conversion systems usingwide bandgap semiconductorssuch asSiC and GaN. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, driving innovation in high-efficiency, high-power-density solutions for applications in automotive, industrial, renewable energy, and aerospace sectors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead thedesign, simulation, and developmentofhigh-performance power converters(DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC) usingSiC and GaNtechnologies.
  • Define systemarchitectures, topologies, and control strategiesfor high-efficiency power conversion.
  • Conductcircuit simulation, PCB layout design, and thermal management analysisto optimize performance.
  • Drivecomponent selectionand ensure compliance with relevantindustry standards(IEC, UL, automotive, aerospace, etc.).
  • Collaborate withcross-functional teamsto integrate power electronics into larger systems.
  • Performhardware validation, testing, and troubleshootingto improve system reliability.
  • Providetechnical leadershipand mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Stay at the forefront ofemerging power semiconductor technologiesand industry trends.


Requirements

Master’s or PhDin Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.

10+ yearsof experience in power electronics design, focusing onDC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC conversion.

✅ Extensive expertise inSiC and GaN-based power electronicsfor high-efficiency designs.

✅ Strong proficiency inLTSpice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, Altium, or similar tools.

✅ Experience withhigh-frequency switching, EMI/EMC compliance, and thermal management.

✅ Hands-on experience withPCB layout design for high-power circuits.

✅ Deep understanding ofcontrol algorithms for power converters(digital and analog).

✅ Familiarity withpower magnetics, gate drivers, and high-voltage isolation techniques.

✅ Proven track record ofleading projects from concept to production.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience inautomotive, aerospace, industrial, or renewable energyapplications.
  • Experience indigital control implementations(DSP, FPGA, Microcontrollers).
  • Exposure toSiC and GaN packaging, thermal modeling, and lifetime estimation.
