As a Software Engineering Lead, where you'll play a key role in guiding teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. With a focus on large-scale full-stack development, this role is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment, bringing expertise in Platform Engineering, AWS, Microservices, and DevOps.

What You'll Do:
· As an extension of our Software Engineering's Centre of Excellence, lead internal and external teams of software engineers, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration and continuous improvement.
· Assess and help develop and execute engineering strategies, ensuring scalable, high-performance software solutions.
· Work closely with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable development plans.
· Proactively evaluate the current state of the data platform development and work with CoEs to drive sustainable improvements in the team and across the organisation.
· Drive the adoption of modern Data Engineering and DevOps practices in the team to enhance software delivery and operational efficiency.
· Champion best practices in software engineering, ensuring security, maintainability, and performance.
· Present technical solutions and progress to stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear business value.
· Build strong relationships across teams, acting as a bridge between engineering and business functions.

What You'll Bring:
· Proven experience delivering an end-to-end data platform.
· A deep understanding of data engineering practice, particularly Data Lake, Data Warehousing, Analytics, and Reporting.
· Strong knowledge of ETL pipeline design, data optimisation, and governance.
· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
· Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, enabling efficient and secure software delivery.
· Ability to work closely with development teams to enable self-service capabilities and improve efficiency.
· A mindset of continuous improvement, always looking for ways to enhance developer productivity.
· A proactive, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to drive innovation and change.
· Ability to balance between applying the fundamentals and taking a pragmatic solution.

Your Experience:
· Proven experience in full-stack software engineering, with a strong technical foundation.
· Expertise in Python, Github, AWS, and modern cloud-native architectures.
· Knowledge of AVRO/Parquet, BI/Visualisation, NoSQL, Data Governance tooling
· Experience leading teams in an agile development environment.
· Strong DevOps knowledge, with experience in CI/CD pipelines and automation.
