THE ROLE

As a Principal Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building a world-class, self-serve data platform. You'll be the technical owner within your team while collaborating across the wider data and ML landscape to drive architectural best practices, data quality, and scalability.

Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Architecting and evolving data solutions primarily within Snowflake, alongside a modern
  • Driving platform-level improvements with a focus on data usability, governance, and long-term sustainability
  • Implementing robust engineering and software best practices across the data lifecycle
  • Collaborating with Principal ML Engineers, Product Managers, and Engineering Directors to solve high-impact business problems
  • Championing data platform evolution from fragmented legacy systems to streamlined, scalable infrastructure

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    The successful Principal Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

  • 7+ years in data engineering, ideally within consumer-facing tech or B2C product companies
  • Deep expertise in Snowflake, with strong hands-on experience in building scalable data warehousing solutions
  • Proven ability to build self-serve data platforms and high-quality data assets
  • Strong architectural acumen and software engineering fundamentals
  • Experience driving adoption of data governance and improving data platform usage across internal teams
  • stack including:

  • Snowflake

  • AWS

  • DBT

  • Airflow

  • Python

  • Kinesis

  • Terraform

  • CI/CD tools
