The Analysis, Insights & Performance department at Arden University plays a vital role in driving data-driven decisions. By providing valuable insights, monitoring performance, and promoting innovation, the team supports the university's mission to enhance student outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
About the Opportunity:

As the Principal Data Analyst at Arden University, you will use your mathematics, statistical, and visualisation expertise to drive improvements in student experience, student outcomes, and operational efficiency. You’ll promote the highest possible standards in analytical rigour at Arden University.
You’ll oversee, manage, and own the development of core analytical products that enhance the capabilities of data professionals throughout our university. You’ll work closely with our Operational Research team in providing them with analytics and data science capabilities that enhance their organisational interventions.
You’ll use your business acumen to understand our business goals and align data initiatives with our goals to drive change and make a positive impact. As a great communicator you will translate complex mathematical and statistical techniques into compelling visions for organisational improvement and strategic decision making.
About You:

Essential requirements:
Demonstrated experience of creating business value using data & analytics.
Proven experience in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools such as SQL, MS Excel, PowerBI, Tableau or similar tools.
Knowledge on programming languages such as R or Python for data science and the application of Machine Learning.
Drives and encourages the practice of continuous improvement and organisational change; positively embraces change and draws out new ideas, opportunities, and solutions.
Ability to analyse and report on key performance indicators across complex and disparate data sets.
Excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to develop professional relationships and rapport amongst key stakeholders.
Experience in delivering Business Intelligence solutions and reports.
Experience in monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators across complex and disparate data sets.
Experience in the full data lifecycle of collecting, cleansing, modelling analysing, communicating and presenting actionable insights.
Experience of applying analytical and statistical practices in a business context to drive data-driven decision making.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and modelling techniques.
Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modelling and data governance principles and practices.

Desirable requirements:
Degree inMathematics, Statistics, Economics or Computer Science etc
Microsoft Azure experience
Experience working within the Higher Education sector.
