Job Description
To support the LTM Actuarial Director in the delivery of the business objectives, principally to lead on analytics and business intelligence (methodology, approach and outputs), facilitate product launches and targeted repricing to deadlines.
Working with Actuarial to identify pricing opportunities and develop pricing proposals to gain and maintain competitive advantage for HF in order to maximise Group value.
The role also includes the analysis of commercial pricing factors, data from sourcing systems and kfi performance trends to contribute to the prioritisation and development of new products, features, and improvements to the existing range.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading a team of analysts helping to scope projects, guide design, approach and delivery in analysing industry data
- Working with Actuarial to identify pricing opportunities and develop pricing proposals to gain and maintain competitive advantage for Home Finance
- Analysing performance trends and elasticity of pricing to inform the development of new products, features, segments, pricing factors and commercial refinements and improvements within the existing lifetime product range
- Leading on sourcing system relationships and delivery of price changes within agreed timescales, including documentation, models, processes, system testing, update of intermediary portals and communications. Responsible for delivery of ongoing process improvements and ensuring best practise risk controls
- Be an advocate for data visualisation best practice, sharing knowledge and guidance with others, ensuring all outputs are visualised to a high standard in line with company requirements
- Generating reports, tools and processes to provide key product and performance information for the team and the wider business in the most efficient way to improve performance, through the use of code to manipulate data and visualisation tools to display outputs clearly
- Ensuring the pricing of products and propositions are designed to deliver fair value to customers
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- The role is for a senior data analyst with strong analytical skills and commercial awareness, with expertise in data visualisation
- Degree level qualification in a technical or numerate field or equivalent experience
- Experience in dealing with high volumes of data with excellent attention to detail and reconciliation
- Performing data manipulation and transformation to create and maintain datasets. Creation of structured datasets that facilitate efficient dashboard creation
- Producing and automating regular reporting to a wide range of stakeholders through the use of analytical tools
- Gathering requirements from stakeholders across internal teams, managing expectations and guiding on approach.
- Experience of creating dashboards/data visualisations with dashboarding software such as Tableau or PowerBI and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Significant experience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI and Tableau. As well as Significant experience with coding languages for data manipulation, such as SQL
