We are hiring for an is an ambitious, multi-award-winning financial services investment company located in London City who are investing in their BI Data team.

What your job will be

The Data and Analytics team is playing an important role in growth ambitions as it moves to scale-up.

Your expertise will help us to build a secure and scalable data infrastructure to help support these ambitions.

You will be developing efficient data pipelines for acquiring, processing, cleansing, and transforming diverse data sources for integration into our data platform.

You will work closely with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Our data is in good shape. But you'll support on a programme of work that brings all our data into one place, meaning less time is spent by analysts on data transformation and we can move more quickly from idea to insight. It's a great chance to gain experience in the latest cutting edge Lakehouse technology and would suit someone looking to develop their experience in Data Engineering under the guidance of the Senior Data Engineer.

We're a small team so you'll need to be hands on and prepared to get involved in a wide-range of activities.

Role details

Title- Microsoft Power BI Platform Engineer
Technology skills required- Microsoft Power platform stack, POWER BI , and POWER BI DAX
Business FX Financial Technology
Permanent role- salary £50,000- £75,000 plus bonus at around 20%
Location: London and home working hybrid This role will be focused on Microsoft Power platform stack and POWER BI , and POWER BI DAX with great data investment projects

What we're looking for

We don't need you to tick all these boxes (in fact we'd encourage you to apply even if you don't!), but this gives you an idea of what we are looking for:

2+ years as a Data Engineer or Power BI developer, preferably in a start-up or fast-paced environment.
Experience in the Microsoft BI Stack:
Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, Dataflows, Premium features)
The ability to assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
High level of verbal, written and presentation skills
