Job Description

Join Us as a PMO Data Analyst

The Future Combat Air System (FCAS) PMO – Performance Team is on a mission to transform portfolio performance reporting, empowering data-driven decisions and enhancing operational efficiency. We turn complex business management data into clear, actionable insights for our Senior Leadership Team, Programme Managers, and wider Integrated Project Teams colleagues using PowerBI and other tools. This requires sourcing, collating and moderating a multiplicity of views from across the business and simplifying and rationalising a complex range of data to facilitate informed decision-making.

You’ll gain first-hand experience in strategic and operational decision-making, seeing how robust data analysis supports stakeholders at all levels within the FCAS programme.

What You'll Do

  • Retrieve, structure and analyse business management data from across the Programmes and functions, identifying data quality issues and applying appropriate fixes, reconciling different data sources.
  • Support the maintenance and development of key interactive reports in PowerBI and other tools to enable effective management of the FCAS Programmes/Products and satisfy other LEUK business reporting requirements.
  • Identify and suggest ways to streamline existing data management processes.
  • Support the implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in internal team user testing, peer review and validation sessions.
  • Support training sessions on new tools or updated ways of working.
  • Provide facilitation support for stakeholder workshops and requirements-gathering forums as needed.

What You’ll Bring

We’re seeking someone with relevant experience who thrives on solving problems and making sense of complex data. You should be confident working with Excel (including nested formulas) and ideally have exposure to PowerBI development. You’ll enjoy collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, adapting to changing priorities and helping the team continuously improve. The ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in an Agile environment will help you succeed.

What Would Make You Stand Out

Experience in a business management environment handling data from systems like SAP, P6 Primavera, or Business Objects. Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira) and beginner-level or higher knowledge of SQL, Python or VBA is highly valued. Experience building PowerBI reports and working with PowerQuery (M) is also desirable.

Security Clearance

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). National Security Vetting may also apply.

Why join us

At Leonardo, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We offer a comprehensive, company-funded benefits package that supports your wellbeing, career development, and work‑life balance.

  • Generous leave with up to 12 additional flexi-days each year.
  • Pension scheme with up to 15% employer contribution.
  • Access to mental health support, financial advice, and employee-led networks.
  • Eligible for bonus scheme.
  • Free access to 4,000+ online courses via Coursera and LinkedIn Learning.
  • Referral programme rewards.
  • Flexible benefits up to £500 annually.
  • Flexible, hybrid working options.
