Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Palantir Foundry and/or Foundry Data Platform (FDP) to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering discipline with deep data architecture expertise and practical implementation experience within enterprise data platforms.

This role will partner closely with data scientists, analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver production-grade data products that drive operational and strategic decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Platform Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Palantir Foundry (Code Repositories, Pipelines, Ontology, Workshop, etc.)
  • Implement data transformations, ETL/ELT workflows, and orchestration within Foundry/FDP environments
  • Develop modular, reusable data components following software engineering best practices
  • Build and maintain data products aligned to business use cases

Data Architecture & Modeling

  • Design robust data models and ontology structures within Foundry
  • Define and maintain semantic layers for business-facing analytics
  • Ensure data integrity, lineage, governance, and quality controls

Optimization & Performance

  • Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
  • Implement testing, CI/CD practices, and deployment automation within the platform
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable fixes

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with data scientists to productionize machine learning workflows
  • Translate business requirements into technical data solutions
  • Support dashboarding and operational applications via Foundry Workshop


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3+ years (Mid-level) or 5+ years (Senior) of data engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry and/or Foundry Data Platform (FDP)
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Python
  • SQL
  • Spark (PySpark or SparkSQL)
  • Experience building production data pipelines in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Understanding of data modeling, schema design, and metadata management
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and version-controlled development practices
