Nuclear Security Business Operations Analyst

Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Package: £38,500 - £45,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application.

Let us introduce the role

We are seeking a skilled data analyst with a strong background in data management and administration to join our newly formed business operations team. The role supports the Nuclear Threat Reduction programme, working closely with counterparts across Science to ensure a consistent and effective approach. In this role, you will have the opportunity to primarily be responsible for building and maintaining function and programme data, primarily on SharePoint but also utilising other document management systems, to drive and enable effective communications and business operations between a range of internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

Build, maintain and manage SharePoint sites to enable effective information storage, access and communication, utilising other document management systems as required.
Lead on the development and realisation of effective communication and information management strategies.
Support and manage information and knowledge capture activities to enable efficient and effective current business operations and assure the future provision of these.
Organise and manage capability planning, including underpinning resource allocation, to ultimately assure continuous capability readiness.
Active participation in capability, communication and knowledge management workstreams, and associated projects, ensuring effective communication across a range of internal stakeholder networks.
Lead on the collation, management and representation of a range of business data to underpin current and future operations.

Effective communication skills with the ability to form strong stakeholder relationships across the business.
Good business acumen with experience supporting a variety of business disciplines.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance conflicting demands, prioritise and deliver effectively under pressure.
Strong administration skills with diligence.
Experience in presenting high level metrics in a meaningful way for trend analysis to a wide range of audiences.
Excellent track record of delivery and engagement with senior stakeholders.

Important things you need to know:

You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. AWE will fund this. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.

Our interviews typically take place over Teams and for most roles are a one stage process.

Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 3 days onsite per week.
