We're currently recruiting a friendly Night Receptionist to provide first-class reception service at Kents Hill Park on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

The Night Receptionist is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during night shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining security, and assisting with administrative duties. This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to handle late-night guest inquiries, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests, ensuring an outstanding first impression.
  • Perform late-night check-ins and early morning check-outs with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure all overnight tasks, including audit procedures, are completed correctly.
  • Monitor and manage room allocations, reservations, and modifications as required.
  • Maintain security by monitoring access points and ensuring guest safety during overnight hours.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, including fire alarms and evacuation protocols.
  • Prepare reports for management, including financial reconciliation and occupancy updates.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for any overnight issues.
  • Handle cash, card transactions, and process payments accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Support the Night Manager in administrative tasks and other duties as needed.


Our ideal Receptionist will:

  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess fantastic organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Display passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.
  • Previous experience in a front office, receptionist, or customer service role, preferably in a hotel, conference centre, or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of property management systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar is preferred.
