The goal of Amazon Logistics is to build a world class last mile delivery operation. Amazon aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and in the most cost-effective way possible.
The Central Operations Systems Management (COSM) manages systems configurations for delivery stations across multiple business lines that support delivery operations in Europe (EU). The primary functions include owning jurisdiction changes, RGU changes, Sort path config and supporting launches. The key focus to provide best in class experience to our Delivery Associates and customers. We are looking for creative leader with a passion for scrappy innovation, a knack for problem solving, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity to create world-class customer experience. You will be responsible for building processes, systems, mechanisms and drive programs focussing on the best customers and DA experience. You will drive execution and efficiency through data-driven decision-making and analytical problem-solving. You will be accountable for cost, customer experience, and delivery station experience, both in daily execution and long-term step-function improvements. Coaching and mentoring the team and nurturing positive employee relations through people management is one of the key responsibilities of this role.


Key job responsibilities
-Drive optimization of key COSM controllable metrics, to delight our customers on both performance and cost, by delivering projects to improve COSM processes in close collaboration of COSM stakeholders both internal and external to Central Operations (CO)
-Identify and develop programs to address area of opportunity for standardization and efficiency improvement within the end-to-end last mile supply chain
-Support operations, ensuring teams execute daily and weekly cadence while also delivering key programs on time
-Engage and earn trust of operational leaders across EU AMZL to help drive standardization of process and execution framework
-Develop cross-functional relationships with COSM partners such as routing SMEs, tech and AMZL ops partners to drive process improvements to support both operations and the customers.
-Partner with central tech and expansion teams to facilitate the translation of business requirements into technology requests
-Implement a culture of continuous improvement through proven methodologies
-Own and lead deep dives into escalations, establishing clear solutions for immediate resolution, while also charting a path to green for short and mid-term solutions, with support from partner teams and CO leaders
-Lead a team of L3 hourly employees and own all aspects of employee experience, daily task management and career planning. In addition, provide guidance and support for L4 Shift Managers, and are proxies for the L6 managers, when needed
-Able to work and execute in ambiguous situation if needed while maintaining the standards for the processes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3 years’ experience in operations or similar central teams.
•Strong leadership skills; experience owning critical business functions with weekly reporting to senior leadership and leading teams of 6+ people
•Demonstrated ability to handle projects with multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Proven track record of improving the end to value chain and experience designing advanced supply chain processes and implementing world class supply chain/logistics tools
•Familiarity with supply chain management and transportation concepts including forecasting, planning, network optimization, delivery performance etc
•Problem solving skills and the abilities to quantitatively analyse challenges, scope technical requirements, and effectively prioritize program deliverables
•Entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and to take ownership.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Proven track record for delivering results on large, cross functional, international milestone projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or operations related fields with minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
•Experience leading teams with 10+ employees and direct reports
•Experience in supply chain management/technologies and also in implementing Kaizen/ continuous improvement processes
•Experience with agile or similar program management methodologies
•Proven track record in communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units and engaging with remote teams and external partners
•Strong data manipulation background and ability to work with numbers on a daily basis; Experience with analysing big data sets; SQL, Python, and visualization software understanding a plus
•Ability and interest to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous and rapidly-changing environment
•Experience with last mile delivery operations a plus
