Following internal movements, there is now an exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager to take the lead in managing the strategic relationship with Morrisons. This role will focus on strengthening the commercial partnership and driving future growth, making it a pivotal position within the business.


The National Account Manager will balance the external needs of the customer with the support of a cross-functional selling team, including category management, shopper marketing, and supply chain. With regular engagement with leadership teams in the UK and across Europe, the successful candidate will take full ownership of the account management lifecycle in this high-profile role.


What will my key accountabilities be ?


  • The delivery of customer AOP P&L; encompassing agreed volume, NSV, GP & GP% measures
  • The pricing, promotion, negotiating and account planning on the customer account
  • Developing Customer Relationships and bringing the customer strategy into JDE
  • Understanding of Category, Market, Customer and Consumer dynamics
  • Negotiation of NPD listings & distribution extensions for existing products
  • Promotional Evaluation
  • Leadership of Internal Business Planning & Stakeholder Management
  • Leveraging internal resource to deliver results effectively


Who will I be working with?


External:Customer & their teams including the buying teams, supply chain & marketing


Internal: Wide range of stakeholders across marketing, brand, demand & supply chain and category contacts


A great candidate will have:

  • Proven UK Account Executive & or Management experience in a retail FMCG brand environment, preferably having experience of dealing with customers within the Grocery sector
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work with others to deliver a specific customer strategy
  • Good attention to detail and the desire to pursue opportunities relentlessly
  • Ability to demonstrate NSV growth achievement and a strong ability/restlessness to seek out further growth
  • Strategic capability, and ability to build strong internal networks and cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, lack of data and at ease with difficult and demanding customer conversations
  • Degree educated (or equivalent)
