MySQL Data Analyst required to work near Guildford (North).This is a Hybrid position working 2/3 days from home, obviously you will need to come into the office more than not during your induction/starting days with my client.Please note: My client is in a rural area so you will need your own transport to get into the office. Also, you will be criminal checked and you will need to undergo an enhanced DBS so only apply if you are able to do so.Job responsibilities: * Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports * Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality * Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems * Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets * Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems * Improve data quality across educational and business systems * Prepare reports and present these to management or clients * Identify and recommend new ways to save time and money by streamlining business processesSkills required: * 3/5yrs + Proven strong Data Analyst using MySql/Business Objects. * Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques * Some programming knowledge (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks) * A good working knowledge of programming languages such as PHP, R and JSON * A solid understanding of data sources, data organisation, infrastructure, and storage * Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets * Familiarity with data visualisation and reporting technologies * Knowledge and experience of webservices and Restful APIs, including oAuth * Experience and understanding of cloud-based data warehousesThis position comes with good benefits and would be ideal for someone who is looking for a cultural change rather than chasing the rat race/fast pace environment
