THE ROLE:

As a Microsoft Fabric Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing data warehouse, lake and lakehouse solutions for Amplifi’s clients, using Microsoft Fabric and other Microsoft Technologies. You will work closely with data analysts, data engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that the solutions we design and implement are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability. You will design and implement solutions appropriate to the needs of the client and in accordance with industry best practice (such as following the ‘medallion’ architecture pattern). Your expertise in data warehousing, data integration and Microsoft Fabric will be crucial in delivering successful data solutions to Amplifi clients.

The role is primarily client facing, but with a responsibility to contribute knowledge and experience gained from implementation projects to the Amplifi body of knowledge, in order to build collateral for re-use in future implementations.


WHAT YOU'LL BE GETTING UP TO:

  • Design and implement robust data warehouse, lake and lakehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.
  • Design Fabric solutions to support the outcomes required by our clients, whilst following industry best practice approaches (such as Data Fabric, Medallion Architecture etc.)
  • Design and implement Data Integration solutions including ingestion of data into Fabric, transformation of data in the warehouse/lakehouse and delivery of data to consumers.
  • Optimize data models and database schema to improve query performance and data retrieval times.
  • Produce designs which help ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the data warehouse.
  • Implement data partitioning, indexing, and other optimization techniques to improve data warehouse performance


Collaboration:

  • Work closely with data analysts, data architects, data engineers and client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Microsoft Fabric solutions.
  • Collaborate with Amplifi technology experts and client IT teams to ensure seamless deployment processes.


Data Governance:

  • In collaboration with Amplifi data governance experts, design and implement measures to support data governance best practices, including data security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Develop and deliver documentation related to Data Fabric architecture, processes, and procedures.


Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data platform technologies, particularly Microsoft Fabric, and reflect this in your solution designs.
  • Participate in design reviews, collaborating with members of the Amplifi and client teams to ensure robust end to
  • Contribute to the Amplifi body of knowledge to benefit future Amplifi projects in the area of Data Warehouse design and implementation. (E.g. best practice, methodologies, lessons learned etc.)


THE ROLE WILL BE A GREAT FIT IF:

  • You have experience in SOME of the below:
  • Experience as a Data Platform Architect, with hands-on experience in designing and managing data warehouses, lakes and lakehouses.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar data platforms.
  • Microsoft certifications in the field of Data and AI (e.g. Microsoft Certified Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate DP-600, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-305, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate DP-203).


Technical skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database design principles.
  • Experience in data modelling, particularly in the context of data warehouse design.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, particularly in relation to data warehousing.
  • Data Integration and Engineering experience
  • Understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance requirements.


Preferred experience:

  • Data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake etc.
  • Knowledge of data, analytics and AI tools.
  • ETL and Data Integration technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Talend, AbInitio or simila
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
