About the role:

Media is the beating heart of the agency. The place where creativity meets commerciality, and where specialists bring unrivalled work to life. As Media Director you are accountable for the delivery of PRFs across your accounts, and value delivery is managed with control and accuracy. All financial and admin processes are tracked and managed.

You have built client relationships and are the trusted senior day-to-day contact for your clients. At the centre of your role is your team. Your responsibility doesn’t just sit with managing the quality and scope of their work but extends to their progression and wellbeing. You should fully understand their motivations and how to aid their development.

Core skills:

Campaign Management

  • Independently manage the assigned teams and implement media campaigns.
  • Applies best practice to campaign management and acts as the escalation point for issues.
  • Manages and takes ownership of campaigns from start to completion.
  • Delivers accurate planning and reporting in line with strategic and commercial objectives, with value-add insights for the role of the medium as part of the overall campaign.
  • Helps to drive new routes to optimum planning outputs and supports operational and planning strategies which support best-in-class delivery.

Media Investment Planning

  • Develops media plans with wider Commerce, Client, and Investment teams to meet the client’s business and brand objectives.
  • Ensures that media plans are mirroring WM commercial deliverables.

Demonstrating Value

  • Provides guidance to others on specific strategies to identify client needs and expectations and address them effectively.
  • Interprets planning data relative to the performance of products, services, and solutions against client needs to ensure the customer recognizes and receives value, setting the right KPIs and metrics.
  • Ensures that the product, innovation, service, and solutions are utilized that differentiate Xaxis and Finecast from its competitors and demonstrate the value proposition of a continued partnership.

Multitasking

  • Oversees team members to discuss current projects, workload, and activities; prioritizes resources accordingly.
  • Improves workload management by supporting others in setting priorities and by postponing less relevant work.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure that the team are implementing best operational practice.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to improve team output and to overcome barriers and ensures roll out.
  • Checks that best practice is in place and any supporting training is taken.
  • Flags any barriers to success to line manager.
