With a £230 million investment, Halewood is poised to become the first site in Europe to manufacture electric power units, with an impressive production capacity of 420,000 units annually. In this role, you'll:

Lead the charge in identifying and implementing data-driven solutions to optimise plant efficiency and drive operational excellence.
Extract, transform, and analyse complex manufacturing data to uncover valuable insights and support critical decision-making.
Develop and maintain interactive data visualisations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders across various departments.
Collaborate with our central innovation network and global data analytics teams, serving as the plant's data science expert and champion.
Lead the development of a dynamic data science team within the plant, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.We are looking for a Data Scientist with:

A degree in data analytics, computer science, statistics, mathematics, physical sciences, or a related field, with experience in a similar engineering/automotive environment.
Proven problem-solving skills, with a track record of providing data-driven solutions to manufacturing challenges.
Expertise in automating data pipelines and using Big Data Analytics tools, with experience in cloud databases.
Solid proficiency in SQL and Python programming, with a deep understanding of current and emerging data technologies.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to embrace data-driven decision making.
