Your Role

As an SME in Data Management, your role encompasses spearheading the development and implementation of robust data governance, ethics, Data Quality, Data modelling, Data Architecture, Data Quality, standards implementation, and Master Data Management (MDM) strategies within organisations. You will provide strategic guidance to ensure that data is managed ethically, securely, and in compliance with regulations, fostering a culture of responsible data usage and decision-making. Leading efforts in establishing and maintaining MDM practices, you will ensure a single, accurate, and consistent view of critical data entities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll define data quality standards and metrics, monitor data quality, and enhance transparency and accountability in data management practices. Specifically:

  • You will be at the forefront of integrating technologies into data management processes, introducing efficiencies in data quality, automate data governance tasks, and optimise data processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • You will provide expert guidance and advisory services to clients on a wide range of data management topics, including data governance frameworks, data quality policies, metadata management strategies, and master data management (MDM) solutions.
  • You will provide strategic direction and leadership in Data Management, providing strategic and implementation consultancy in areas like Data Governance, Data modelling, Data Architecture, Data Quality and standards implementation, MDM among others.
  • You will lead efforts to assess the maturity of clients' data & AI capabilities through a variety of methods, using frameworks such as DAMA (Data Management Body of Knowledge) and DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model). Your strategic guidance will empower organisations to optimise their data capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
  • You will provide strategic counsel on maximising the value of data-driven insights to drive business decision-making, advising on information management best practices, advanced analytics methodologies, and emerging trends in data governance.
  • You will develop and nurture trusted client relationships, serving as a strategic advisor and partner in solving key challenges in data, analytics, and AI delivery.
  • You will lead large scale data transformations ranging from the business case and strategy assessment to the implementation of data solutions, driving innovation and continuous improvement. You will drive innovation and facilitate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to drive business growth and meet client objectives and outcomes.
  • You will collaborate with key stakeholders and facilitate innovation initiatives aimed at experimenting with new data and AI concepts. Your ability to navigate complex relationships and drive consensus will be crucial in achieving strategic goals.
  • You will lead the establishment robust data capabilities within client organisations, including organizational design, process optimization, skills development, and role definition, in alignment with organisational objectives.
  • You will play a key role in developing our Data & AI Strategy capability through the development of new market-leading offerings and capabilities, sharing thought leadership, and contributing to business development efforts. Your strategic insights and business development efforts will drive growth and enhance our market positioning.
  • You will contribute to the development of our people, supporting the growth of our Analytics and AI Advisory team through charismatic leadership qualities, sharing knowledge, insights and training on our offerings and methods.

  • Adaptive Leadership: Agility and resilience in navigating complex challenges and driving change in dynamic environments whilst inspiring confidence and maintaining focus.
  • Mentorship: Dedication to the growth and development of your team members, providing mentorship, guidance, empowerment, and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive proficiency in data strategy, data management, or AI/machine learning methodologies. Deep understanding of data throughout its lifecycle. Combined with Architectural / feature knowledge of one or more data and AI platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Platform; Amazon Web Services; Microsoft Azure) and Knowledge of data management and governance standards, such as DAMA-DMBoK, CMMI and DCAM.
  • Domain Expertise: Extensive knowledge of the data technology landscape, including data management tooling and platform capabilities, such as Informatica and Collibra. Additionally, demonstrable proficiency with industry-standard data management and governance frameworks, such as DAMA-DMBOK, CMMI, and DCAM, is highly desirable.
  • Professional Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications and designations, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder engagement skills, cultivated through collaborations with diverse stakeholders including industry partners, and internal capability teams. Ability to navigate complex relationships to drive consensus and achieve strategic goals.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to represent the company in discussions on data strategy. Proficiency in supporting upskilling initiatives to enhance both internal staff and client understanding of data concepts.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest advancements in data strategy, data management and operating models. Actively contribute to fostering a culture of ongoing education and innovation within the organisation.
  • Delivery: A track record of delivering within agile working environments, including planning, and implementing solutions with data, analytics or AI at the core.
  • Business Development: Business development experience, including identifying new client opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and supporting sales efforts. Your strategic and industry expertise will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base.
