Xcede is working in partnership one of the UK’s most established applied AI companies, delivering large-scale machine learning systems for organisations operating in highly complex, data-intensive environments.

This is a senior engineering role for someone who wants to take ownership of end-to-end AI delivery. You’ll lead the design and implementation of advanced machine learning platforms, taking models from research through to live deployment. Working across multiple client programmes, you’ll shape technical direction, influence architectural decisions, and act as a senior technical voice on mission-critical AI initiatives.

You’ll operate at the intersection of engineering, data science, and business delivery — helping organisations turn machine learning into reliable, scalable, and commercially valuable systems.


Requirements:

  • Extensive experience building, deploying, and operating machine learning platforms in production
  • Strong background translating data science work into reliable, real-world systems
  • Deep hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks and tooling
  • Expert-level Python engineering and strong software design skills
  • Proven experience building cloud-based platforms e.g. Azure
  • Strong background in containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Excellent understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning theory, and data-driven decision making
  • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, client-facing environments
