LLM Engagement Manager(LLM EM) is an expert in Large Language Model delivery. The LLM EM is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of LLM projects. Your role will involve working directly with LLM clients to understand their project objectives and coordinating with internal Appen teams to deliver successful LLM projects. You will build continuously improved competency in LLM project types and provide insights in areas including recruitment, job design, guidelines, and quality.

As part of the Language Services team at Appen, LLM delivery experts are expected to build deep expertise in the LLM data modality and deliver high-quality LLM data services to help our clients build cutting-edge models and applications.

As an LLM Delivery expert you will bring an own it attitude to ensure that we deliver the best outcomes for our clients, build thought leadership in the LLM space, and drive operational excellence in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  1. Understand client and project objectives to define methodology, job design, guidelines, recruitment requests, and quality management plan.
  2. Lead project teams in a matrix environment to ensure end-to-end delivery against project scope, timeline, and budget.
  3. Provide regular project status reporting, such as productivity, quality, financial health, and other key performance metrics.
  4. Manage and escalate risks, and undertake recovery actions as necessary.
  5. Provide clear communications to internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Prepare client deliverables, including data and reports.
  7. Lead internal PPRs and participate in program improvement initiatives to improve Appen’s LLM delivery capabilities.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience

  1. Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a professional services or technology organization. Experience delivering LLM or language data services preferred.
  2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited University. Degree in linguistics, data science, or other related fields preferred.
  3. Ability to analyze data, draw insights, and develop client-facing reports.
  4. Strong communication skills and ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. High level of ownership with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  6. Passion for the AI industry and understanding of AI technologies including LLMs.

  8. An analytical thinker with the ability to proactively identify problems, gather information, and set a course of action.
£40,000 - £45,000 a year
