As a Lead Information Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality information and functional architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for carrying out critical information and functional architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.
Job responsibilities
Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose information and functional architecture approaches to meet current and future needs Defines the information and functional architecture target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategy Participates in information architecture governance bodies Executes creative functional architecture solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions and break down technical problems Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Facilitates evaluation sessions with internal teams to drive outcomes through probing of information and functional architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture Leads information architecture communities of practice to drive awareness of robust information and functional architectures Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and proficient advanced experience with delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilit Advanced knowledge of architecture and one or more object oriented programming languages Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems Practical cloud native experience Advanced knowledge of one or more software, application, and architecture disciplines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsHands on Information Architecture in enterprise-sized applications with a strong working knowledge of Data Modelling and Meta-modelling (preferably with UML) or the use of alternative Data Modelling tools such as ERwin, Power Designer and Magic Draw Knowledge of various Data Architecture options including ODS, Data Lake, Data Catalogue (DCAT), Data Warehousing, OLTP and OLAP, the treatment of Data as a Technology Asset and the regulatory view of the same. Strong knowledge of Data Management technologies such as Oracle, Cassandra and Public Cloud offerings in this space Knowledge of core Information Architecture capabilities, including Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality (DQ), Metadata Management, Data Taxonomy, Data Integration, Data Migration and Data Modelling Ability to collaborate with business teams to understand, translate, review and playback requirements into Functional and Information Architectures
