In this prominent role based in London, you’ll be vital in directing and executing sophisticated GCP-based infrastructure projects. As our Lead GCP Systems Engineer, your strategic insights and technical prowess will play a crucial role in scaling, securing, and optimizing cloud systems that service not only finance but also healthcare and technology sectors. Responsibilities • Lead the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure projects using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes • Architect and implement robust security frameworks within DevOps workflows, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) and zero-trust architectures • Drive the team expansion and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in cloud and DevOps practices • Facilitate collaborative and agile engagements with product owners and Google representatives to optimize product functionality through DevOps best practices • Oversee and streamline the transition of financial institutions from on-premises to cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing efficiency Requirements • Strong background in DevOps methodologies with proven experience managing cloud migrations to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Expertise in scripting and automation tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, or Kubernetes, integrating security into DevOps processes • Demonstrated leadership in growing and guiding DevOps teams within dynamic project environments • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites in London for hands-on project management and client interfacing • These responsibilities and requirements emphasize DevOps-specific skills and experiences, ensuring that candidates understand the technical demands and leadership expectations of the role Nice to have • Google Distributed Cloud or Anthos familiarity • Professional Certification from Google Cloud Platform • Certified Kubernetes Administrator • Experience with Big Data Infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform • Familiarity with Splunk, Dynatrace We offer • EPAM Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) • Protection benefits including life assurance, income protection and critical illness cover • Private medical insurance and dental care • Employee Assistance Program • Competitive group pension plan • Cyclescheme, Techscheme and season ticket loans • Various perks such as gym discounts, free Wednesday lunch in-office, on-site massages and regular social events • Learning and development opportunities including in-house training and coaching, professional certifications, over 22,000 courses on LinkedIn Learning Solutions and much more • If otherwise eligible, participation in the discretionary annual bonus program • If otherwise eligible and hired into a qualifying level, participation in the discretionary Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Program • All benefits and perks are subject to certain eligibility requirements
