Principal Data Engineer - Belfast

We're working with one of the most reputable employers in Belfast who are know for both technical innovation, and leading the way in culture and inclusion.

They have a brand new opportunity for a Principal Data Engineer to lead the data architecture and engineering team in Belfast. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions, optimizing pipelines, and mentoring a team of engineers.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and development of data architecture and pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions
• Optimize and troubleshoot data processes for performance and scalability
• Mentor and guide junior engineers

What You’ll Need:

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with leadership experience
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
