Job Description

About the role

As a Data & AI/ML Architect at Devoteam G Cloud UK, your mission is to help our existing customers get the best out of GCP by:

  • Conducting GCP Data Architecture and AI/ML Workshops

  • Take responsibility for delivery teams to ensure comprehensive implementation of customer projects

  • Proven experience in delivering complex technical designs and architectures

  • Design and deliver architectures that are fit for purpose, assessing the customer requirements and constraints

  • Creating solution architecture and technical design documents

  • Participate actively in the further development of frameworks, service concepts, service domains and products in the company

  • Assist in sales to new and existing customers

  • Actively contribute to continuous learning for yourself and your colleagues

  • Coaching and mentoring juniors

  • Stay up to date with current trends

What we are looking for

  • You have a computer science degree

  • You demonstrate ample individual delivery experience working with Google Cloud Platform

  • You have two or more Google Cloud Professional Certifications:

    • Cloud Architect

    • Data Engineer

    • Database Engineer

    • Machine Learning Engineer

  • You have extensive, hands-on experience with Data Lakes, ETL, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud SQL, BigTable, Spanner, etc

  • You speak English as the main language

  • You are entitled to work (and live) in the United Kingdom. We are unable to sponsor visas

  • Proficiency in writing Terraform code

  • You have experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for data and ML projects

  • Coding/scripting skills required, e.g. Python, Go, C(++)

  • Experience with DBT and/or Dataform

  • Experience with Dagster, airbyte, Fivetran and/or Hightouch

Soft skills:

  • Display the ability to present to both business and technical stakeholders

  • Build relationships with customers to influence their long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor

  • Strong time management and prioritisation capabilities

  • Mentoring juniors engineers and contributing to the growth of the team
