Role Overview

We’re looking for aJunior Quantitative Traderwith a strong focus on technology to join our team. This is a team-based role where you’ll collaborate with experienced traders and developers, working on the latest technologies in global markets. You will play a crucial part in managing and developing our trading strategies, with an emphasis on systematic trading and technology-driven solutions.

You must live in the UK and be eligible to work here. You must be open to working long hours for this role including early starts and out of hours support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Monitoring & Trading Support
  • Monitor trading activities and assist in real-time trading operations.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the team in driving commercial viability and revenue generation of trading strategies.
  • Provide trade support and product coverage as part of a 24/5 operation.
  • Strategy Development & Event Management
  • Assist in developing and enhancing quantitative trading models.
  • Respond to economic and geopolitical events that impact trading strategies.
  • Use proprietary tools to analyse and optimize trade performance.
  • Performance Analysis & Data Interrogation
  • Use data driven analysis to develop trading strategies and explore opportunities
  • Track and report on the performance of trading models, focusing on risk, revenue, and operational conduct.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance trading efficiency and mitigate risks.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced skills inPythonwith experience interrogating large datasets.
  • Maths,Engineering,Computer Scienceor similar degree. Being able to demonstrate a strong mathematical, computational skills and technical aptitude is essential.
  • Strongquantitativeand analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience infinancial marketsis desirable, if you cannot demonstrate work experience in finance we’d expect you to show evidence of a keen interest in and knowledge of the markets and trading.
  • Experience trading curve products and associated risk management would be beneficial
  • Direct experience in supporting traders and managing trading positions.
  • Familiarity with economics and market dynamics.
  • Understanding ofsystematic tradingprinciples.
