Wireless Logic is on the lookout for a skilled, driven, forward thinking Junior Data Engineer to step into our world and assist with data engineering activities. You will be joining a Data Team at a high growth technology IoT connectivity provider who are driving and shaping a data vision and strategy across the group. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of Data Engineering principles who is looking to learn and grow their experience and put this into practise, working with best-in-class senior developers.


Reporting into the Group Head of Data, you will drive the group towards a data rich and data hungry business by capitalising on the strong foundations the data team has built, continuing to build roads that will unlock data as a superpower so that our teams can gain the competitive edge and make informed decisions.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist with data engineering tasks from ingestion to transformation and delivery.
  • Assist with architecting and implementing scalable data pipelines using the Microsoft tech stack.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all systems.
  • Overcome barriers to delivery to support the business.
  • Data Infrastructure & Optimization

    • Design and maintain robust data models and storage solutions mainly using, but not limited to, SSIS, XML, T-SQL (SSMS) & python.
    • Learn how to design, develop, and maintain APIs.
    • Learn how to optimise performance of ETL/ ELT processes and database queries.
    • Implement monitoring and alerting for data workflows.


  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Work closely with analysts to understand data needs.
    • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Document data architecture and processes for transparency and scalability using DevOps.



Required:



  • 4-5 years’ experience in an SQL based role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An eye for the detail and excellent accuracy of work.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Effective organisation and time management skills
  • Tech/Languages currently in place – MS Tech Stack (SSIS, MS SQL Server, Power BI, etc), Python, DevOps.
  • Willingness to learn through self-development, peer knowledge and project experience.
  • On Site 2-3 days a week.
