Job Description
This role performs complex research, design, and software development within a specific software functional area or product line. This is an exciting opportunity to learn cutting-edge technology built to simplify Big Data management. The role includes migrating some processes/applications to Azure. You will work alongside talented colleagues with diverse skills and collaborate with internal business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver an exceptional product experience.
Essential Skills
10+ years of Software Engineering experience
BS in Engineering/Computer Science
Hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies – Azure/AWS
Ability to work with complex data models
Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and JSON
Familiarity with industry best practices — code coverage
Experience in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
Experience with Git – GitLab/GitHub
Knowledge of test-driven development
Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in HPCC/ECL is highly preferable

Working Environment
You will operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and collaborate with key stakeholders. The role involves writing and reviewing detailed specifications, completing bug fixes, and keeping abreast of new technological developments. You will make major code design changes to new and existing products and be a primary point of contact for the products you develop or own.
