Your Role in the Team We have (12 month) year-in-industry placement opportunities starting in summer 2024 for IT undergraduates with a keen interest in Customer Technical Support (including hardware, software and networking). If you have an interest in solving technical issues coupled with a customer-centric approach, then this opportunity is a perfect fit for you. Key Responsibilities: Optimize employee satisfaction by providing a support service experience that employees find welcoming and appealing Deliver support services that employees are eager to use - support includes personalized configuration, troubleshooting, problem resolution and proactive technical advice Support mobility devices such as company mobile phones (Android, iOS), iPad Provide application and hardware support for all managed desktops (Windows/OSX), printers, network connectivity, VPN etc. including lifecycle management of workstations Provide personalized incident management for ticket creation, engineering engagement, escalation and direction be a single point of contact for communication status Applicants should have knowledge of, and keen interest in, IT Infrastructure to include: PC Windows and Apple Mac Mobile phone Android/iOS/Windows Conferencing video/audio with emphasis on Zoom and Microsoft Teams Collaboration tools Teams, SharePoint Online Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Essential Skills All candidates must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy Expecting to complete your second year of a computing-related degree course by the end of June 2025 (or the third year for relevant IT degrees). You will have achieved 2.1 classification or higher in your course modules to date. Please include a full list of module marks from your first year and any current year to date. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the application. As part of this role, you will be required to be in either our Belfast or Derry/London-Derry Office 5 days a week. Desirable Skills A clean driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.
