Position:Injection Mould Toolmaker
Hours:41.5 hours per week (08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00 Fridays)

Key Responsibilities:

As anInjection Mould Toolmaker, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Manufacturing and Modifying Injection Mould Tools- Working with a variety of machines to manufacture, modify, and repair injection mould tools.
  • Machining Operations- Usingmanual milling machines,lathes,surface grinders,cylindrical grinders, andCNC machinesfor precise toolmaking.
  • CNC Spark Erosion- Operatingmanual and CNC spark erodersandCNC wire erodersfor tool modification and repair.
  • Fitting and Assembly- Assembling and fitting complex mould tools, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Tool Maintenance- Carrying out maintenance, repair, and modifications to injection mould tools.
  • Hot Runner System Wiring & Fault Finding- Wiring and fault-finding onhot runner systemsto ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilizing Hand Tools- Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders for precision work.
  • Working to Tight Deadlines- Ensuring all work is completed to tight time scales without compromising quality or safety.
  • Team Collaboration- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and successful project completion.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in Injection Mould Toolmaking- Proven experience in the manufacture and modification of high-precision injection mould tools.
  • Fitting and Assembly Skills- Ability to fit and assemble complex mould tools, including repairs and adjustments as required.
  • Machining Experience- Strong experience withmanual milling,turning,grinding, andEDM wire/spark erosionprocesses.
  • CNC Experience- Knowledge of CNC machining is an advantage but not essential.
  • Attention to Detail- Ability to work accurately and ensure all components meet high-quality standards.
  • Time Management- Ability to work effectively under time pressure while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Team Player- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate as part of a small, focused team in a busy environment.
