Why This Role Matters The Data Scientist Lead will beresponsible for leading a team of Data Analysts/ Data Scientists,they will work in conjunction with Business Stakeholders toidentify issues and then use data to propose solutions foreffective decision making. This role will be the key full timeposition responsible for the leadership of Christies Data Sciencefunction. This role will work closely with other members of theArchitecture, Data Strategy and Transformation Team and will playan important part in the Companies wider Information StrategyProgramme. This Role will work closely with the Data and InsightsStakeholders to fulfil the Companies Data Strategy, advising on newand emerging technologies in the Machine Learning and ArtificialIntelligence space and help to identify ways to improve the use ofdata in the Company. Ability to share expertise and knowledge withothers and take a Technical Leadership Role is a key part of thisRole. How You'll Make an Impact 1. Selecting features, building andoptimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques 2.Building and monitoring robust data cleansing / training/ MLapplication pipelines 3. Enhancing data collection procedures toinclude information that is relevant for building analytic systems4. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data usedfor analysis 5. Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in aclear manner 6. Clarify/explain results to senior businessstakeholders in business friendly terms 7. Collaborate with otherteams to expose/include AI/ML models in business scenarios such asworkflows and apps that consume the Models What you’ll bring to theteam 1. Highly passionate, self-motivated and driven individual whohas a strong understanding of all aspects of Data Science and ishappy to be hands on working with the Team 2. A strong desire toimprove existing solutions and to innovate and introduce new andexciting ways to improve the current way that Data solutions areimplemented at Christie’s 3. Good communicators that have an openand transparent style of working that can influence and operatewith both technical and business stakeholders effectively. 4.Strong interpersonal skills, can demonstrate facilitation skillsand the ability to set technical direction when appropriate. 5.Able to provide accurate estimates and meet deadlines. 6. Excellentinterpersonal skills and strong abilities to develop and enhancerelationships with stakeholders and peers 7. Excellent written andverbal communication skills and ability to produce clear, concise,detailed documentation 8. Good problem-solving skillsExperience/ Skills Required 1. Proven experience ofmanaging/leading a team comprising of internal and third partyworkers 2. 6+ years of IS/IT experience with at least 2 years in aData Science related role. 3. Excellent understanding of machinelearning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM,Decision Forests, etc 4. Strong Expertise with Machine Learning andArtificial Intelligence technologies with coding experience inPython, Pandas, Databricks and experience with using Azure Platforman advantage 5. Experience in Reporting and Visualisation (Tableau,Power BI) to convey model output and insights 6. A goodunderstanding of Infrastructure (hardware, software, data,networking) 7. Educated to Degree Level preferably in ComputerScience or related subject 8.
